Yoga & Brazilian Arts Workshop
SUN SEP 12th
The Fillmore, 1805 Geary Boulevard, San Francisco
Power to the Peaceful is committed to creating an awakening in the community with fellow yogis, dancers and athletes to take our practices into the world through personal peace, non-violence, world awareness, tolerance and sustainability. Take the energy and inspiration from Saturday’s Power to the Peaceful Festival and learn how to cultivate it into the physical world. For the past four years we have brought you the PTTP Yoga Jam, offering the space for you to sit with the information you’ve received and to explore whatever way you feel is best to channel that energy into your own life, your community, and into the world. Our goal is to make these classes to as many first timers as well as long time practitioners through teaching that is considerate of all levels. All proceeds from the Power to the Peaceful Yoga and Brazilian Arts workshop go to the Power to the Peaceful Festival and Organization – an annual event bringing hundreds of thousands of people together under the theme of MUSIC, NON-VIOLENCE, CONSCIOUSNESS AND ACTION.
This year we are very excited to bring you something new to the day’s event – a beginning level Afro-Brazilian dance class. You will find this class to be extremely playful while emphasizing a core focus on RESPECT, FREEDOM, EQUALITY, INTEGRITY, COMMUNITY, EDUCATION and STRENGTH – demonstrating the foundation, purpose and intention of the Power to the Peaceful Festival.
