Rebecca Watkins
Inspired by the deep house sounds in the clubs and underground raves of sf in the early 90s, Rebecca Watkins broke out onto the scene..A passion for dancing got her hooked into the bgirl crew scene, and the music lured her out of the circles and closer to the turntables. Thus, she started collecting records in 94, and the rest is History
In 98, barely legal, she landed her own tuesday weekly residency "Synesthesia" at sf's most notorious dj bar, The Top. The buzz spread, and shortly after became a resident on fridays there as well. Coproducing these fridays, Owen's infamous parties.. and continues to play his events alongside

Influenced by an array of different styles of music growing up, Rebecca Watkins' sound reflects this spectrum. From her roots in dub, to the dark electronic ventures of the eighties, her selection draws from an eclectic imagination..From her beginning mixing of rhythmic quirky tribal acidic house of the early 90s, to dancehall, hip hop, new wave, and rock..any set will certainly be a mixed bag of sound.
