JadenJaden

Jaden began playing acoustic guitar in May, 2007. While attending a Michael Franti and Spearhead show, she decided right at the front of the stage that playing guitar was her calling. Her studies began with classical training in the Suzuki method. Soon she began figuring out some of her favorite rock songs, on her own and with the help of her instructor.

The Peace OutsPeace Outs

The PeaceOuts, many of them friends since kindergarten, sing and play their instruments with mellifluous tunes and groovy beats.  Students of Pamela Parker at the San Francisco Rock School, the PeaceOuts jam distinctly with a grade school version of the San Francisco funky, fusion rock and roll.

Gabby La La

Gabby La La

Gabby La La knew that she wanted to be a musician and performer since she was five years old!

She began singing songs from her favorite movie “Annie” and soon started taking piano lessons.
Some children play doctor, or chef, but Gabby played “superstar” and used the ends of her curtain rods for microphones! After learning piano for several years, Gabby picked up the accordion, guitar, and then settled on the sitar.
Gabby Studied North Indian Classical Music at the Ali Akbar College of Indian Music for 4 years and then continued her training at The California Institute of the Arts where she received a BFA in Sitar Performance.Gabby La La’s style has been described as “Kooky and Spooky”, “Experimental”, and “Unusual” but no matter what you call it, La La’s music will always bring a smile to your face.

Bird School PTTP Band

The San Francisco Bird-PTTP band are 3 girls and 3 boys musictifically blended.  A side-soul satellite project formed in conjunction with PTTP.   These 6 kids from 5 different San Francisco bands rehearse and play shows out of Bird-SF and beyond.  Yes, they are the acorn and the oak tree, they are the love, the music and the future in your face right NOW!  They will be laying down some cool old school covers bringing the PTTP at the kids stage.  The band will also be performing at The SPECTRUM Event Fundraiser at Mezzanine Sunday, Oct. 18th from 6:30-9pm.   This annual event raises funds for Access Institute,  a low cost mental health clinic in Hayes Valley.  http://accessinst.org/

BAG copyBay Area Girls

“Ordinary Girl” may be the name of their first recorded original song, however these four girls are anything but ordinary.  The preteen group first came together for a performance at their school talent show.  The group includes 4 girls, Maddie C on lead vocals and bass guitar, Kaitlyn on keyboards and background vocals, Zoe on drums and background vocals and Jackie D on lead vocals and rhythm guitar.
